Improving eating habits and increase physical activity are essential.
Eating more than one daily serving of fruits and vegetables . One serving of vegetables equals one cup of these raw or cooked or half cup of juice. One serving of fruit equals a fresh fruit from small or medium size, half cup of fresh fruit or fruit juice.
Should choose foods with whole grains such as rice and bread. Avoid processed foods with refined sugar, flour and saturated fats and convenience foods.
Avoid very large pieces to fill the plates.
Do not eat more calories than you eat to avoid gaining weight.
